Dr. Landau is certified in acupuncture by The Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine.
Performing a thorough Chinese medical history and examination, which includes tongue and pulse diagnosis, will allow Dr. Landau to identify the pattern of imbalance affecting your animal. This guides the decision of which acupuncture points Dr. Landau stimulates to restore balance. Acupuncture points are positioned along a network of energetic pathways called meridians. Acupuncture regulates the normal flow of Qi, restoring health in the process. Acupuncture has been shown to have pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, hormone-regulating, and immuno-stimulating effects. Further, once Dr. Landau has identified which points restore balance, the correct herbal prescription will be chosen to support the treatment given.
Is there stagnation of energy flow? An accumulation of damp and heat from an improper diet? Was there an acute injury that needs encouragement to heal and repair itself? Acupuncture point examination and treatment holds the key to understand how to unleash the body’s ability to heal itself.
Surprisingly, most animals love to get acupuncture. They do not mind needle placement and they find acupuncture treatment very relaxing.
